I think we are "hard-wired" to be a certain way and we mostly maintain that countenance our entire lives.

Learning to respond and respect each child's uniqueness is the challenge of the adults in her life. She will flourish if her nature is nurtured! I'm still learning myself and at 8 months pregnant about to have my second daughter, this is all still a mystery to me.

All I can say is how much they change. I know my Vivian (now age 4) was a serious baby and toddler, didn't like most people and didn't seem to play well with other kids either. But somewhere between age 3 and 4, she just changed.... so silly now, will talk to anyone and does in grocery stores or wherever! She went from not letting me touch her hair to fussing over it first thing in the morning for me to "fix it." I'm like, who are you kid? Did aliens take over your brain?

I can't wait to see what this next girl of mine will be like! One thing's for sure, they make life grand! :)

Enjoy! I love hearing the family stuff. It's what makes us part of who we are - the people in it!

Mandy

www.mandylifeafter30.com

(geez, can my post be any longer??)Mandynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4043113139515346307.post-17488358737308838032012-03-29T15:33:38.186-07:002012-03-29T15:33:38.186-07:00Thank you so much, I almost feel like today's ...Thank you so much, I almost feel like today's blog was just for me. :) Thanks for letting me know that Hazel does smile, she's just a little shy.
Cassie.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4043113139515346307.post-37810805288175485762012-03-29T11:02:14.158-07:002012-03-29T11:02:14.158-07:00YES YES YES!!!! My sister's best friend Dorot...YES YES YES!!!! My sister's best friend Dorothy had a baby girl she named April. April NEVER, EVER smiled. EVER. She was a serious, quiet child. Now she is all grown up and lives in my condominium complex so I see her quite a bit. She has her masters degree and is a teacher to gifted students. She is amazing. She writes poetry, she's smart, together, well read. I LOVE HER!

Personally, I am in love with Hazel. She is the cutest, serious baby I've ever seen. And that smile omg. Maybe she really has been here before?! And p.s. your daughter is beautiful.

LOVE YOU! MISS YOU! MEAN IT!
XOXO
DebDebbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14480522255028503327noreply@blogger.com
