It's my party

Well, it came to the point where I decided to delete some comments. I don't like censorship and respect everyone's opinion, blah, blah, blah... but things were starting to get ugly and that's not what this site is about.

I think of it this way: if I were having a party at my house and one of my guests was loud and obnoxious and making the other guests feel uncomfortable, I'd ask that person to leave. And to please not come back.

In real life I surround myself with positive people; I feel sorry for those consumed with negative energy, but I don't want them around me. Same goes for my virtual life.

I don't want to have to resort to comment moderation, like one of my friends who had this same person crash her party. No, I'd rather leave the door unlocked so people can come and go as they please and allow them to immediately strike up a conversation with the other guests. So when you see this person's comments, and God knows you will--she evidently has nothing else to do--rest assured they'll display only until I have the time to delete them. Unlike her, I'm not on this site 24/7, and I have better things to do than continually take out the trash.

Dammit I miss all the fun when I'm working and can't keep up with my bloggirlfriends!

Do I need to kick some cyber ass? Because you know I'll do it. I've got your back sister.

I guess I'm lucky, I've had my blog for just shy of a year and nobody has ever started shit on it. A few creepy comments but no shit stirrers. I think they're all afraid of me!

I can't believe I missed out on all the fun! I'm so happy for your mention on Nathan's blog and for your appearance in the SF Chronicle. And, good for you for going the self-publishing route. After all, this ain't no dress rehearsal and the clock keeps ticking. You go, girlfriend, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if you get picked up by a big publishing house after they see your self-published book flying off the shelves! How they could turn down a book w/such a great title in the first place, is beyond me.;-)

Good for you and count me in for a book! Love the premise!

I was wondering when you'd finally say enough was enough.

Good for you!

Swingin' the hammer felt pretty good, huh?

Woohoo! There is nothing more cleansing than removing a negative force from your life! Part of me hopes I will see the comments before they get deleted just so I can truly appreciate the deleting. Wait, is that like slowing down when you drive by a horrible accident on the freeway? Anyway - you rock Linda - I think I am developing a girl crush!

I think I missed out. I never saw any bad comments.

Yeah... how about that? Just the chance we take putting ourselves out there--there will always be someone who can't stand our stinkin' looks. That's understandable, but yikes--enough was enough!

Unfortunately I have a serial creep who posts lewd and creepy stuff which I just prefer to delete before it hits my blog.

He continues anyway. I don't know who it is and don't care.

Pity some people have to be like that.

Hey, I just got here, but I'm already on your side. No need for trashiness. Out the door you go, troublemaker.

Otherwise, I'm a humorist as well, and so I invite you to come over and hang out on my site too. I've got a rom-com that I'm editing right now; hoping to get it pub'd one of these days soon.

Fascinated by the Aging Nymphs title. Gotta be a whole lot of story behind that. :)
