Hmmm... Judging from the comments on yesterday's post, I'm not sure I communicated my intention properly. Meeting B.H. was a good thing; he brought amazing gifts to my life. My book really is a love story--love for him, love for myself. The universe unfolds in divine order, as evidenced by my decision to venture out of my hotel room that night 10 years ago.
It's all good. No, it's amazing.

Ah that's good to hear that it was a good choice!
LOL....I'm laughing at Anon's comments yesterday.
(S)he called me a lady! Hahahaha
You met BH because for whatever reason, he is what you drew into your life at that point. Good, bad, or otherwise, he was an experience you will never forget. I feel the same about my ex.
And I didn't meet HIM in a bar. LOL And he was still a BH. :)
But this "lady" preferred not to take those red flags into account, didn't she and regretted it later?
Geez, ladies, if you are both so defensive about your mistakes (oops! can't call 'em that) or admitting any poor judgment on your part, how do you except to learn anything?
I'll even argue that if you took the time to have made better decisions in the beginning then they wouldn't be a misty memory, they might just still be a REALITY! Not just an "experience in your past that you will never forget". And you wouldn't be so desperate to justify bars as a great place to meet eligible bachelors.
Okay, thanks, Anon. Between these and your comments on the other post, that's enough for one day. Future comments submitted today will be rejected.
My blog; my rules. Anyone who doesn't like it doesn't have to come back.
I respect the opinions of others, but after getting about eight comments in one hour, I had to pull the plug.
Don't blame you. Seems Anon has some real issues ... would probably benefit from a few stiff drinks at a bar, chill a little.
Anon does seem to have some real problems!! Making a big deal out of this is one of them!! You are one classy lady!!!
Like I said before.....we can meet people anywhere and there are good and bad anywhere.......in church or in a bar!!
Selfishly, if you hadn't met BH, I'd never have had the pleasure of reading your book. Reason enough to tell Anon to step off. Have a great trip, Linda Lou. I'm looking forward to reading about it.
