When you least expect it...
One day I'm enjoying HippieFest with Mom, and then the next day she's in ICU, which is where I'm pecking away on my iPhone right now. Quite a scare, but a full recovery is expected. They'll be moving her to a regular room soon. Can't write much at the moment. Be back soon.

damn. life does change on a dime, doesn't it? Having just had my own stint in ICU, I have great empathy for your mom. Hope for a good out-come and a release soon.
Our prayers are with you and your mom. I know what a scare like this can do to someone.
Wishing your mom a speedy recovery and I agree with Mandy B - good thing you were there. Such a worry when there are no close relatives close by to our aging parents.
