Purgefest 2010’s next victim

I woke up in darkness around 4:30 this morning. The cool breeze from the palm trees outside my open window was just enough to make me grab the comforter and snuggle in. Aaaah, another two hours before I have to start my day. I can lie here and drift back to glorious sleep… what could be better?

Looking across the bed and seeing someone I love, that’s what.

Single life, after seven years I am sick of you. You’re the next to go.

I guess we will have to stay tuned and ride along vicariously with you and your sister on your road trip...to find out... ONLY THE BEST for you my friend. Only the best.

Sounds like there is a plan in the works?

Hmmm... you know me. I'm always planning.

Now that's just not right. YOU are a good catch and I'd have guessed you were beatin' 'em off with a stick. People told me for years... "he's out there". I got to the point that I wanted to punch them in the throat. Truth is, he was out there and I am damn glad he waited to cum I mean come into my life when he did.

Hang in there girl, he's still looking for you :-)

"Beatin' 'em off with a stick"--ha! It's one thing to be a man magnet, but quite another to find someone you're actually attracted to and compatible with.

Well I am sure he is out there, I used to say mine was on mountaintop in Tibet. In actuality I tracked down my first love, and we reconnected like no time was lost between the 30 years since I had last seen him. Things are going well even though we are 3 hrs apart for now.

So you been tracking anyone down??

Vegas Linda Lou said...

Can't track anyone down. My first love has been married for 30 years, and my second has been dead for 34. And my third is my first ex--ha! But good for you, dle!

I'm in the "we'll see what happens" mode right now. There's a lot of dust that has to settle before I'll have any clear direction in this area.

Have you thought about internet dating? It's a cestpool for sure but if your smart...and we know you are, it can have a great outcome. Plus, you will have non-stop stuff to blog about :-)

My new husband (March 26,2010) answered my ad on Craig's List (stop laughing) and I was a jaded bitch by the time he came around... had tried Match.com and Eharmony to no avail. But, alas my search aka hunt was over and he met all the requirements of my love list (Oprah idea) and then some.

They "are" out there, you just gotta look much harder than you used to. I hope you get that early morning snuggle that you talked about along with some good old morning wood poking you in the back...LOL

Tracey, you kill me. And congratulations, newlywed!

About a year after I moved to Vegas I tried the online dating sites. eHarmony had NO matches for me in their database! Seriously--I talked about this in my show. And my one and only venture into Match.com was not favorable--he actually told me, "I flossed my teeth for you." NEXT!!! Good for you though!

Reminds me of many years ago the lonely Sunday afternoons in my flat.

He flossed his teeth for you? And you let him down?

Maybe he was alluding to a metaphorical meaning: He would be like a breath of fresh air...

Maybe he had some mixed ethnicity where in their heritage it was a good sign to floss before meeting your future spouse.

Maybe he had a weird sense of humor (or humour in case he wasn't American).

Or.. maybe I haven't written a comment here for ages and thought about filling this nice box once in a while.
